2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup lard
¼ cup water

When I asked Grandma for the process – she said just put it together until it’s “RIGHT”. I was lucky enough to spend some time with her while she was making pies and made her measure a bit so I could get approximate ingredients. She did it all from feel.

MY instructions would be cut together the flour, salt and lard. Once the mixture resembles sand, add the water. Work until smooth then roll out for pies.

I have never been able to get this recipe to turn out like hers but wanted to preserve it for nostalgia reasons.
