1 cup butter
1 cup veg oil
1 cup sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teas salt
1 teas vanilla
2 eggs
1 teas baking soda
4 cups flour
1 teas cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Thoroughly cream oil, butter and both sugars. Add vanilla and eggs. Stir in dry ingredients. Refrigerate till slightly cooled and easy to roll into 1 inch balls. Press down flat with a sugared glass on lightly greased pans. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes.

This is Grandma Mabel Kilpatricks Sugar Cookie Recipe. She always had these on hand ready to go. They were either fresh or she would pull a container out of the freezer. These are meant to be a flat, crispy around the edges cookie.
