1 cup butter or margarine
1 1/2 cup white sugar
2 large eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla
2 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cream of tartar

Roll cookies in: 2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and add sugar gradually beating until light and creamy. Add eggs and beat well, add vanilla Stir dry ingredients into creamed mixture. Chill dough for several hours. Form into balls and roll in sugar, cinnamon mixture. Place cookies 2 inches apart on cookie tray. Press with fork. Bake at 375 F until lightly browned, approx. 10 minutes.
