2 egg whites (eggs must be room temperature)
¾ cup of sugar
1 cup chocolate chips

1. Preheat oven to 325º
2. Beat egg whites until they are stiff
3. Gradually add in sugar and continue to beat until you have stiff peaks
4. Fold in chocolate chips
5. Drop by teaspoon on foiled-lined cookie sheet
6. Put cookie sheet in oven. TURN OFF the oven and forget for at least 4 hours. (Leaving in oven overnight is preferred). Cookies should be light and crispy.

This recipe has been in my family for decades, handed down from my great-great grandmother. Ever since I was a little girl, I used to spend time with my grandmother making Forgotten Cookies. Now, I make them with my aunt too. It is one our favorite ways of spending time together.
