Bread dough frozen or homemade or basic roll dough

Oil

Flour
Sugar
Butter

Directions:
Directions:
Take a large pinch of dough or one thawed frozen roll dough. Flatten out to 3 inches or so.
Dredge dough in flour.

Add oil to bottom of skillet. Heat to medium. Once warm, place dredged dough gob in pan. Fry on both sides until golden.

Serve with lots of butter and sugar.

In my mother's growing up years, no one bought bread from the store. You made your own, which was nearly a daily task. Dough gobs were a cheap and easy dessert.

The Schleicher's family tradition was to take homemade bread once baked, slice it, put cream on it, and add sugar. Both were delicious.
