10 Cups Chopped Apples (peeled, cored then cut into chunks)
1 C Sugar
1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1/2 tsp Allspice
1/2-3/4 tsp ground Cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare apples and place in crockpot (JUST THE APPLES), cover and cook on high for 4-1/2 hours.
Stir well.
Mix together remaining ingredients and add to apples. Stir well.
Cook for another 4-1/2 this time UNCOVERED.

Stir well. Place in clean canning jars. Can be processed in water bath.
This usually makes 5 pints.

If your crockpot is big enough you can double this recipe easily.
If you don't like cloves or find they are too strong, back off the amount you use.

Both my mom and grandma Ellington made this every year. Depending on apples picked sometimes several crockpots were cooking with this delicious recipe! Great on fresh hot biscuits!
