Ingredients:

Cream together with mixer:
3/4 c butter
3/4 c sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla (you can increase this to 1T)

Mix together:
2 c flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Add to mixer a little at a time.
Chill.
I roll them into small balls and coat with sugar. You can use white sugar or colored sugar if it’s for Christmas. Put on cookie sheet (I use parchment).
Bake at 350° for 13 minutes.

I usually double this recipe.
