2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp FRESH baking soda
1 tsp salt
Mix in sperate bowl

1 cup Crisco Shortening ( NOT BUTTER flavored)
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
12 oz bag semi sweet chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 375º. Mix flour, baking soda and salt set aside.
Large mixing bowl combine sugars, Crisco and vanilla and beat until creamy.
Beat in eggs 1 a a time.
Add dry ingredients in 2-3 additions. (not all at once)
Mix WELL.
Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop cookie dough by spoonful on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.

PAP ALWAYS USED FRESH baking soda. He swore this made all the difference.
Crisco shortening not butter, margarine or butter flavored.
