1 Cup of butter
1 1/2 Cup of sugar
3 Eggs
1 Tsp vanilla
3 1/2 Cups of flour
2 Tsp cream of tartar
1 Tsp of baking powder
1/2 Tsp of salt

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream butter and add sugar gradually, cream until light and fluffy.

2. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each one.

3. Stir in vanilla.

4. Sift dry ingredients together and gradually add to creamed mixture.

5. Chill for 3-4 hours (or overnight).

6. Roll out and cut into desired shapes.

7. Bake at 375º for 6-8 minutes.
