1/2 c butter
1 c sugar
1 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1 T milk
1 1/4 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Add ingredients in order listed and mix well.

You can add lemon or 1 tsp nutmeg or raisins

Chill and roll out, use cookie cutter

Bake on greased pan
375º
8-12 minutes

These are the sugar cookies we had every year. Sometimes lemon was added, sometimes nutmeg, and sometimes nothing at all, just plain cookies.
Great for kids to decorate.
