1-3 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. crushed corn flakes-for rolling cookies in
candied cherries or colored sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together cream cheese, butter, sugar & almond extract. Add sifted dry ingredients. Mix well. Chill dough 1 hour. Shape into small balls & roll in crushed corn flakes. Place on an ungreased baking sheet 1 1/2 inches apart. Top w/cherries or colored sugar. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes. Makes 3 doz. cookies.

This recipe came from Grandma Penn. It was, and is, Garry's favorite Christmas cookie. I usually always double the recipe.
