½ c. Margarine
½ c. Shortening
½ c. Granulated sugar
½ c. Powdered sugar
½ tsp. Salt
1 egg
1½ tsp. Vanilla
2¼ c. All purpose flour
½ tsp. Cream of tarter
½ tsp. Baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugars, egg, and vanilla together until smooth. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Roll dough into small balls and lightly press down with a sugar coated glass or tumbler. Bake at 375º F for 8-10 minutes. The best sugar cookie ever! Melt in your mouth!
