1 c sugar
1/3 c flour
2 T cocoa
2 eggs
2 c milk
1 tsp vanilla
baked pie shell

For meringue:
5 room temp egg whites
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt
1/2 c sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together sugar, flour, cocoa and eggs and on medium heat stir till thickens, adding the milk a little at a time. Add vanilla at end. Pour into baked pie shell.

For meringue:
Bring five egg whites to room temp, approx 30 minutes. Using an elect mixer with wisk that is clean beat egg whites on med speed until frothy. Add cream of tartar, salt and vanilla. Increase speed to med high and beat to soft peaks. Gradually add sugar 2 T at a time, till stiff and glossy.

Spead on top of pie, seal to edges and make swirls with back of spoon. Put in 350 degree oven for 12-18 min to brown. Cool for 1 hour and chill for 4.
