"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2¼ cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup butter, softened
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla (I just let it flow over the spoon so closer to almost 3 =\)
2 eggs
1 (12 oz) pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Grease a 15x10 inch pan
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl
Beat butter, both sugars and vanilla in a large bowl
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each
Gradually beat flour mixture into butter mixture
Stir in chocolate chips
Spread into pan. Bake 20-25 minutes (I usually check it much sooner than 20 - it's much better softer than over done)
