2 1/2 cups of flour, 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. Kosher salt, 1 cup of unsalted butter, 1 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar, 2 tbsp. vanilla extract, 2 large eggs (room temp), 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, 1 cup of coarsely dried cherries.

Set oven to 350 degrees and put rack in middle. Mix dry ingredients and set aside. In a mixer cream butter and sugars. Then add eggs and vanilla. Add flour mixture and mix until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips and dried cherries. Put on cookie sheet and bake for about 14 minutes. Keep an eye. Liam makes the perfect chocolate chip cookies by rolling them into balls and then putting them on the cookie sheet.
