Ingredients:  
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon molasses

melt above and cool 5 minutes

mix
1/4 cup boiling water and 1 tsp soda and add to above

mix
2 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp cloves
2 1/4 tsp cinnamon
2 1/4 tsp ginger
add to mixture

chill 1 hour - roll thin - cut - bake 8 minutes at 325

pipe with icing (below)
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla
3-4 tsp hot water
