Dough :
6 cups all purpose flour
1 - 1/2 lbs butter or oleo (or half butter half oleo)
1/2 pint whipping cream (don't whip)

Work flour and oleo as for pie crust. Pour cream over dough and work in.
Form 4 balls and refrigerate. Take one piece and roll out, cut with router cutter. Dip each piece on both sides in granulated sugar and place on uncreased cookie sheet.

Prick (with a fork) the cookie 3 - 4 times and bake for 10 minutes or until done at 350 degrees.

2 sticks butter or oleo - softened

1 cup Crisco shortening

2 cup FINE granulated sugar
*add gradually to above ingredients and beat very well

6 tablespoons flour - continue to beat well

1 cup milk (room temp)

2 tsp vanilla

Mix oleo and shortening until well blended. Gradually add sugar, beat well. Add flour and vanilla, beat well then add milk. Continue to beat until fluffy, Add food coloring if desired for Christmas - red and green.

Important to beat well as not to taste sugar granules - The longer the better!
(NOTE: This recipe makes enough icing for the above dough recipe).
