1 box chocolate OR yellow cake mix OR 1 ½ cup graham cracker crumbs
½ cup (1 stick) margarine or butter
1 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
1 cup Hershey's Butterscotch Chips
1 cup Hershey's semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup sweetened coconut flakes
1 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350º (325º for glass dish) In 9 x 13 inch baking pan, melt butter in oven.
Sprinkle crumbs OR cake mix over butter and mix well, press down.
Top with chips, coconut and nuts, spreading evenly over pan.
Evenly pour condensed sweetened milk over all.

Bake 25 minutes or until lightly browned at 350º. Cool. Cut into bars. Chill if desired Store tightly covered at room temperature.

The chocolate cake is definitely the richest, yellow cake next but they hold together better than the graham cracker crumbs.
I usually add the chips, coconut and nuts over the cake mix/butter mixture then pour the condensed milk over the whole thing. Let the cookies cool a little at room temperature, then cut. If you put them in the refrigerator to cool, then cut, they have a tendency to break up. These are always favorites but are very rich.
