1 lb. of lard
5 1/2 cups of flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tbsp. salt
1 egg
2 tbsp. vinegar
water

Directions:
Directions:
Blend lard, flour baking power and salt together in a bowl and blend with a pastry blender until you have pea sized lumps.

Mix egg, vinegar and enough water to make one cup of liquid.

Stir into dry ingredients, roll out and place in a pie tin.

This is very famous pie crust and makes the most delicious pies! Making apple pies and freezing them before baking each fall gives you a delicious gift for friends and family. I made pie shells and froze them to make strawberry and pumpkin pies!
