1 1/2 cups butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cups molasses
4 cups flour
4 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. salt

Dip:
1 8 oz. pkg cream cheese (soft and creamed)
1 (16 2/3 oz.) canned pumpkin pie mix*
2 cups confectioners' sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and molasses. Mix together flour, soda and spices and add to creamed mixture. Shape into 1/4" balls. Roll in sugar. Place apart on cookie sheet and bake 6 min. at 375º. Let cool slightly on sheet before removing

Dip:

Add softened cream cheese to mixer with whisk attachment. Add pumpkin, sugar and spices and whisk until combined.

I like plain canned pumpkin better than pie mix. It is not as sweet.
