1 cup sugar
½ cup brown sugar
2 sticks margarine
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
3½ cups flour
2 tsp soda
2 tsp cream of tartar
½ tsp salt
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugars, egg, and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients and add to mixture. Roll out in small balls and roll in sugar. Do not flatten.

Bake at 350º about 7-8 minutes or until lightly brown.
