Ingredients: 3 eggs ⅔ c. oil 2 tbsp. salt 1 c. sugar 4 c. hot water 9 - 10 c. flour

Directions: |
Directions:1. Put above ingredients in mixing bowl. Start mixer 2. Add 4 c. flour, 1 c. at a time and then add 2 tbsp. yeast. (Fleishman's Quick Rise). 3. Continue to mix, adding additional 5 - 6 c. flour. Mix until sides of mixing bowl look clean. 4. Put bread dough into a large lightly oiled plastic bowl or pan and place in oven to rise. Leave oven light on. The bread dough should at least double in size. When it is, punch it down and let it rise a second time. 5. Shape bread dough into buns and let rise again and then bake at 350º.
For Cinnamon Buns: 1. Prepare dough as above. 2. Take ½ of the dough and flatten on cutting board or counter. Cut into strips 4" - 5" long and about ½" wide and ½" high. The size depends on the size of buns you want but they have to be big enough to tie into a knot. 3. Melt about 1½ c. butter. Mix 3 c. brown sugar and 1 c. white sugar add 1½ tbsp. cinnamon 4. Dip strips of dough into melted butter then roll into sugar mixture. Tie into knots and arrange side by side in baking pan. 5. Repeat with second half of dough. I like to melt butter and mix sugar again at this point. 6. Let buns rise and bake at 350º for about 30 minutes. |
