1¾ c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
½ c. sugar
½ c. brown sugar
½ c. shortening
½ c. peanut butter
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
36-40 Hershey kisses

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl except Hershey kisses. Mix on lowest speed until dough forms. Shape dough into balls. Roll balls in regular granulated sugar, then place on an ungreased cooked sheet.

Bake at 350º for 10 to 12 minutes. Top each cookie with a Hershey kiss as soon as you take the cookie sheet out of the oven by pressing the Hershey kiss slightly into each cookie.
