¾ cup shortening
½ cup sugar
½ cup brown sugar
1 tsp baking soda in 1 T. boiling water
1 egg, beaten
salt
1 tsp cream of tartar
2 cups flour
1 cup coconut
Directions:
Directions:
1. Mix first 7 ingredients.
2. Add 1 tsp cream of tartar in 2 cups flour, add 1 cup coconut.
3. Drop by teaspoon and flatten.
4. Bake 325ºF for about 30 minutes.
