1/2 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup mashed bananas
2 cups flour
1/2 cup chopped nuts
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cloves
Directions:
Directions:
Mix well shortening, sugar and eggs. Stir in bananas. Mix dry ingredients and stir in. Blend in nuts. Chill 1 hour.
Drop by tablespoons of dough 2" apart on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes at 375 degrees.
If desired, frost with a thin icing.

Makes 3-4 dozen.
