½ cup shortening
½ cup sugar
½ cup molasses
2½ cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. ginger
½ tsp. cloves
½ tsp. cinnamon
1 egg
Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, sugar, and molasses.
Add egg and cream again.
Add dry ingredients.
Drop by spoon on greased pan and press out with glass dipped in sugar.
