1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
2/3 cup sugar
1 egg yolk
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup whole-wheat pastry flour or all-purpose white flour
1/3 cup sifted cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
26 Hershey Kisses or Hugs (wrappers removed)

Directions:
Directions:
Put the butter and sugar in a large bowel and beat with a hand-held mixer until cream. Then beat in the egg yolk, milk and vanilla until light and fluffy. Sift together the flour, cocoa and salt; gradually add to the butter mixture, beating until blended. Refrigerate dough 1 hour or until firm enough to handle. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Press your thumb into the center of each cookie. Bake 10-12 minute, or until set. Place a Hershey Kiss or Hug on each cookie as soon as they come out from the oven. Transfer cookies to racks to cool.
