3-4 cans of tomato sauce
1 cabbage (small)
1 soft tomato
1 piece of meat, flanken or short ribs *optional
1 medium onion
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp kosher salt
1-2 tsp sour salt
½ tsp pepper

Directions:
Directions:
1. Slice cabbage thin and lay in colander. Pour boiled water over it.

2. Spoon half of the cabbage into pot and add sliced onions and tomato (and meat if using). Cover with rest of cabbage.

3. Then, add in sour salt, regular coarse salt, pepper, and sugar. Add sauce and water to pot (enough to cover cabbage).

4. Cook for 2-2½ hours. When cools, taste the soup and adjust seasonings if you need to.
