Filling(Make 1 1/2 of recipe)
1 lb. Fine Dates chopped
1/2 c. Sugar(eliminate if dates are sugared)
1 c. Water(to spreading consistency)
1 c. Nuts(or more)

Dough
1 c. Margarine
1 tsp. Soda
1/2 tsp Salt
4 c. Flour(add if needed to roll out)
3 Eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Make filling first. Boiling 3-5 minutes and then let cool. Divide dough into 2 balls and roll out on floured wax paper to 1/2" thick. Spread filling mix on dough and roll carefully freeze overnight. Cut into slices 1/4" thick, place on uncreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º-375º for about 10 minutes.
