1/2 Lb Butter
2 Egg Yolks
1Tsp Vanilla
2 Cups Flour
Favorite Fruit Preserves
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Tsp Lemon Extract

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter. Gradually add sugar, creaming well. Add egg yolks and beat well. Blend in vanilla and lemon. Gradually add flour using a spoon. Mix only to blend well. Take 2/3 of dough and spread in an ungreased 9x13 pan. Place a coating of preserves on this layer. To remaining 1/3 of the dough, add 1 Tbsp of flour. Pinch off small pieces of dough and make strips by rolling between palms of hands. Lay part of the strips across the width of the pan. Place remaining diagonally across pan. Bake at 375° until golden brown. Let cool and Cut into 48 pieces.
