2 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
3 eggs
¾ cups buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. flavoring

2. Roll out thin.
3. Cut.
4. Bake 350º

This recipe was written by Martha on the back of a check deposit slip...probably as Aunt Minnie verbally told her instructions. Aunt Minnie and Uncle Wilburn raised Mama May after her mother died. Mama May's grandchildren always loved Aunt Minnie's tea cake cookies...
