2 cups creamy peanut butter
2½-3 cups powdered sugar
Chocolate chips
shortening
Sprinkles (Mom's addition!)

Directions:

1. Mix peanut butter and powdered sugar well by hand. Chill.

2. Line baking sheets with wax paper. Roll mixture into small balls and place on wax paper. Chill.

3. Melt chocolate chips with 1 tbsp of shortening per bag. Chocolate should be smooth and silky.

4. Dip peanut butter balls into chocolate and place on wax paper. Immediately add sprinkles, if desired. Chill for at least an hour and then store in freezer bags until ready to serve.
