1/2 Shortening
1 C sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 T top milk or cream
1 t lemon juice
2 1/2 C sifted flour
2 t baking pwd
1/4 t salt
1 C raspberry jam
1/4 C chopped walnuts
1 T lemon juice
1/8 t salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs, milk and lemon juice. Sift dry ingredients twice, stir into first mixture, blend well. Chill. Roll on floured board to 1/8 in thick; cut rounds, hearts, or diamonds, and place on greased cooky sheet. Mix remaining ingredients, place portion in center of cooky and top with second cooky. Press edges together. Bake at 350 degrees 15 minutes.
