¼ cup Shortening
½ cup Brown Sugar
1 Egg
1 Tbsp Cream
1½ tsp Vanilla
1¾ cup sifted Cake Flour
2 tsp Baking Powder
½ tsp Salt

OPTIONAL:
Rum Wafers, chopped
Nuts of choice, chopped
Directions:
Directions:
1) Preheat oven to 375º
2) In mixing bowl, cream together shortening and brown sugar until light and fluffy
3) Add egg, cream, and vanilla and mix thoroughly
4) Mix in flour, baking powder, and salt
5) Shape dough into mounds and roll ¼" thick
6) Add optional rum wafers and nuts
7) On lightly greased baking sheet, bake cookies for 8-10 minutes
8) Cool on baking rack and enjoy!
