6 quart basket of dill size cucs scrubbed clean
Syrup
7 cups sugar
11/2 quarts
2tbsp.Salt
3 tbsp mixed spices in a bag

Directions:
Directions:
1.Put cucumbers in a crock with both ends cut off a little.
2.Pour boiling water over cucumbers for 4 mornings, really boiling on the 5 th morning
3. Cut cucumbers into pieces and drain well
4. Make syrup and bring to boil. Pour syrup over cucs in crock. Repeat for 3 mornings
5. On the 4th morning, make syrup and bring to boil. Place cucs in jars and pour hot syrup. Seal jars.
Note: If it's not quite sweet enough on the last day, add another cup of sugar to the syrup before boiling.

These are by far my most favourite pickles! My mom and my aunt Jeff's always had them on hand. They are most delicious on boxing day with fresh buns,leftover turkey and cranberry sauce.... Best sandwich ever
