3 eggs, beaten
1/2 c shortening
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp nutmeg, little more if you like a bolder taste
2 c sugar
2 - 2 1/2 c all purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
Stir after each ingredient.
Dough will be a thicker consistency. You want it thick not so soft. Use 2 cups of flour first and go from there.
Use butter to grease each pan.
Use a tbsp to drop dough on buttered pan.
Space dough out and make round, gently press a little on top, or you can roll dough out on floured board. (Grandma rolled hers)
Bake at 350 for about 12 minutes or until desired browning around edges.
