Directions:
Mixing ingredients for sugar cookies

Cream (beat well with electric mixer into a creamy texture) margarine and sugar. Add 1 egg at a time, beating each into the creamed margarine, sugar, and vanilla.
Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nutmeg together on wax paper, and then add a small amount of this flour mixture to the creamed ingredients, alternating with small amount of sour cream until all is blended into the cookie dough.

Divide the dough into about 4-5 parts, wrap parts individually in wax paper and chill over night in refrigerator.

Roll dough on floured board until about ¼ inch thick. Cut out cookies with cookie cutters. Dip cutters into flour so dough does not stick.

Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in 375 º oven, 8 - 10 minutes. Do not over bake.

Frost with your favorite frosting and decorate to your liking.

I think these cookies are my grandchildren's favorites. I even make them at Valentine's Day, Halloween, and St. Patrick's Day.
