Mix together thoroughly:
1/2 cup soft butter
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs

Stir in:
1 cup thick sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla

Stir in:
2 3/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

Mix into dough:
2/3 cup chopped nuts

Bake at 400* for 8-10 minutes. Makes about 30 cookies.

Burnt Butter Icing:
Melt 4 Tablespoons butter (until golden brown)
Blend in 1 cup sifted powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Stir in 1 or 2 Tablespoons hot water until icing spreads smoothly
