Cream together:
1 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs

Stir in:
1/2 cup buttermilk

Sift together:
3 cups Gold Medal flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt

Then add:
1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped
2 cups chopped candied cherries, red and green
2 cups chopped dates

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all together and mix well. Drop by teaspoonful on a greased cookie sheet. ***Cut pecans in half and put on each cookie before baking. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Yield: Approximately 6 dozen. ***It is best if dough is chilled.
