1 cup peanut butter (crunchy or creamy)
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1 1/2 cup sifted flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream peanut butter. Add sugars gradually and cream together until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg and beat well. Stir in flour, sifted together with baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Beat thoroughly.

Refrigerate dough for at least 30 minutes.

Shape into 1 inch balls and place about 2 inches apart on a baking sheet.
Flatten with the times of a fork, forming a chriss- cross pattern.
Bake in preheated 375 degrees oven for 10-12 minutes.
