Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 /2 cup powdered sugar
1 cup butter softened ( has to be butter not margarine. It will make a difference.)
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon almond
1 cup ground pecans
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups all purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 325 degrees. Beat powdered sugar, butter, vanilla, and almond until light and fluffy. Stir in flour and pecans. The dough will be stiff. I use a melon ball cuter to shape the balls but a teaspoon will do just as well. Make sure you roll the dough into firm balls.(size of a small ping pong ball) Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. On ungreased cookie sheet cook just long enough until set but not brown. Immediately from cookie sheet. I put about a cup of powdered sugar in a zip lock bag and put four or five cookies at a time and very very gently cover with the powdered sugar. Remove from bag. Be sure to store in air tight containers.
