1 c. flour or pancake mix
1 tsp. baking powder (if using flour)
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 stick of butter
1 c. sugar
1 can (29 oz) peaches
(if fresh peaches are used instead of canned,
peel, slice 3 c., add 3/4 c. sugar and simmer 3-5 mins)

In an ungreased 8" square or 9x12" glass pan, melt butter as oven preheats to 350º. Mix all ingredients except peaches. Pour batter over melted butter in pan. Spoon peaches into blobs on top of the batter, but DO NOT drain peaches and do not stir. Sprinkle across the top with more sugar.

Bake at 350º for 50-60 minutes, until golden brown. Serve warm with cream, whipped cream or ice cream.
