1/2 lb butter
1/4 tsp salt
2 c brown sugar
3 eggs
1/2 tsp cloves
2 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 lb. dates (chopped)
1 c. raisins (soaked and rinsed in hot water)
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Sift dry ingredients. Cream butter, add sugar, eggs. Mix in dry ingredients and then adds fruit. Drop on pan and bake at 375 for 10 minutes
