1 cup butter
2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 lb. finely chopped nuts
1 egg white, beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Cream butter and sugar, add flour and nuts. Mix in beaten egg white.

Roll out dough 1/8 inch thick and cut using a circle cutter.

Bake on an uncreased cookie sheet for 8-10 minutes.

Notes: These are not supposed to brown.

I found this recipe in Grandma Simpson's recipe box. It was a favorite from the first time I made them. A very good butter cookie with nuts!
