1 pouch of Betty Crocker double chocolate chunk cookie mix
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup melted butter
1 egg

4 cups powdered sugar
4 tablespoons instant vanilla pudding mix (powder not mixed into pudding)
⅓ cup softened butter
¼ cup milk

2 cups chocolate chips
1/4 cup butter

Combine cookie mix, cracker crumbs, melted butter and eggs. Mix until well blended. Press into a 9 x 13 pan. It is helpful if you line the pan with foil or parchment paper before pressing the mix into the pan. Bake @ 350 º 16-18 minutes or until set . Cool completely about 30 minutes

Beat together powdered sugar , dry pudding mix, softened butter and milk until smooth, mixture is very thick , spread over the cooled cookie crust.

Melt chocolate chips and butter together and pour over filling.

Chill uncovered til set about 30 minutes

Cut into bars and store in refrigerator

These have been described as the best thing I have ever put in my mouth, they are not only good but very pretty as the bottom layer is dark, next layer light then the dark topping. The website shows them in a red cupcake liner

The original recipe has a 1/2 cup chopped walnuts and a 1/2 cup coconut in the crust as well but these are very rich and many people do not like nuts or coconut so I have never added either.
