1 c. plus 2 tbsp. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter or shortening
6 tbsp. each of granulated sugar and brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. water
1 egg
6 oz. package of chocolate morsels
1/2 c. nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º
Sift together dry ingredients and set aside.
Combine softened butter or shortening, sugars, vanilla and water; beat until creamy. Beat in 1 egg. Add flour mixture, mix well. Stir in chocolate morsels and nuts. Drop by well rounded half tablespoons onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375º for 10-12 minutes.
Makes 4 dozen cookies.
