1 Cup Granulated Sugar
1 Cup Butter, Softened
1 tsp. Vanilla
½ tsp. Almond Extract
1 Large Egg
2 ⅓ Cups All-Purpose Flour
½ tsp. Baking Soda

Colored or Granulated Sugar to decorate cookies

Directions:

Heat oven to 375°F

In a large bowl, beat granulated sugar and softened butter on low speed until fluffy. Mix in vanilla, almond extract and egg. Mix in flour and baking soda. Shape dough by teaspoonfuls into balls. Flatten top of dough ball by dipping in colored or granulated sugar then place onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until set.

NOTE: IF DOUGH IS TOO SOFT TO SHAPE INTO BALLS PUT IT IN THE REFRIGERATOR TO STIFFEN.
