3/4 cup Crisco/vegetable shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup toasted sesame seeds
1/2 cup coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Beat together shortening and brown sugar until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla and beat. Sift together dry ingredients and add in stages. Add sesame seed and coconut. Drop balls onto cookie sheet. Flatten with a fork. Bake 350 ºF for 10-12 min.
