1 large onion diced

Water to cover
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. pepper
½ tsp. celery seed

Rivels
1 or 2 eggs beat
Add enough flour to make a rather stiff dough

When this starts to boil, drop tiny rivels in and cook until done
