1 c. shortening — use ½ butter
½ c. sugar
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
Mix as for pie dough

1 c. scalded milk
1 cake yeast
2 beaten eggs
1 tsp. almond
Mix into flour mixture with a spoon
Directions:
Directions:
Refrigerate overnight
Divide dough into four sections
Roll as for pie dough

Spread with soft butter and cut into wedges
Roll wide end to center
Let rise ½ hour
Bake 30 minutes at 350

Cool
Frost
Roll in coconut or nuts
